DAY ENDS BEFORE IT BEGINS FOR BALLEW AND LESTER IN DOVER

Dover, DE | 06-04-2007

Bill Lester headed into the AAA Insurance 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Dover International Speedway with tremendous enthusiasm after having fast times in both practices leading up to the 200 lap event.

Lester was a little free during his qualifying run on the “Monster Mile placing the No. 15 Christian Debt Consolidation Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the 18th place position after posting a time of 23.792 seconds at a speed of 151.311 mph.

Unfortunately, an opening lap accident in the front of the pack had an accordion effect, ending Lester’s day before it started. Pole winner Mike Skinner and the second place starter got together off of turn two causing the field behind the wreck to stack up. Lester was a victim in the accordion effect when everyone checked up. A truck behind Lester didn’t slow quick enough and tapped Lester in the rear sending him sideways down the track when Kenny Schrader with no place else to go, got into the side of him. The incidence destroyed the truck ending the No. 15 Christian Debt Consolidation Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado’s day before it even got started.

“After practice I said, every weekend should go like this." Lester said. “We were so pumped up after practice with the truck being so fast we knew we had it pretty well dialed in for the race. We were a little loose on the qualifying run and it didn’t really reflect how well the truck actually was. We never thought we wouldn’t even get one full circuit around the track before our day ended. It’s so frustrating that we are having this luck. I really thought this was the start to a turn around in our season. I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to give Christian Debt Consolidation a better finish this weekend after hopping onboard for five races. I just hope to catch some luck soon.

Lester will take the No. 15 Christian Debt Consolidation Billy Ballew Motorsports NASCAR Craftsman truck to the Texas Motor Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 400 Friday, June 8, 2007. Live televised coverage begins on SPEED at 8:30pm with radio broadcasts beginning at 9:00pm ET. TruckSeries.com will have complete coverage of practice and qualifying on Thursday June 7, and complete race coverage on Friday June 8, 2007.
