FROM TEAM CHEVY INSIDE THE GRAND-AM GARAGE: JIM LUTZ, GRAND-AM PROGRAM MANAGER-GM RACING: “Watkins Glen is a big event for Team Chevy in Grand-Am. We have two separate races with the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge two-and-a-half hour race featuring our Camaro GS.R teams on Friday. In that race, I think our Camaros will be more competitive because of recent parody adjustments which will result in closer races.
“Saturday is the famous Six Hours at the Glen. I really expect our Chevrolet powered cars in the Rolex Series Daytona Prototype class and our three Camaros and the Corvette in Grand Touring to be very competitive. We are on a roll coming out of Lime Rock. Everyone’s equipment is in good shape. The teams are confident that they will be prepared for the Six Hour.”
