10th Place for Autohaus at Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (JULY 27, 2012) – Bill Lester & Jordan Taylor drove the No. 88 Autohaus Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro GT.R to a 10th place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Bill qualified the Autohaus Motorsports Camaro in the 8th position for the debut Grand-Am Rolex Series race at the Brickyard on Friday morning. Then as Bill was about to begin his formation lap before the start of the afternoon race, the skies opened up and the Autohaus crew switched the car over from dry weather slick tires to wet weather rain tires. Once the race started, Bill found the No. 88 Autohaus Chevy Camaro GT.R extremely difficult to handle due to poor balance in very wet track conditions and fell back to the 11th position before handing the car over to co-driver Jordan Taylor. However, by mid-race, Jordan briefly found himself in 1st position due to some heads-up driving, excellent race strategy, and stellar pit service from the Autohaus crew during changeable weather conditions. The weather continued to worsen and the deteriorating track conditions caused re-emerging handling issues. Finally, an overly aggressive competitor in a car that was many laps down caused both his car and Jordan's to spin late in the race. Due to this unfortunate situation, Jordan was only able to salvage a 10th place finish in the No. 88 Autohaus Motorsports Camaro GT.R.

The No. 88 Autohaus Chevrolet is 6th in the Grand-AM Rolex Series Owner Points after the 10th place finish by Bill Lester & Jordan Taylor.
